Account To set up a Lush Crush account, go here. It's free, and you will able to track everything you do on the Lush Crush site. Go to My Profile from the link at the top of the page. From there, click on Change My Picture. You will be able to change your photo to anything you like in .jpeg or .gif formats- except porn or anything else offensive. Go to My Profile from the link at the top of the page. From there, click on Edit My Profile, and you will be able to change any information that you entered during the sign up process. How do I change my email preferences? Go to the My Profile page from the link at the top of the page. From there, click on the Edit My Preferences and you will be able to adjust all email preferences and schedules. It happens. Go to Log In, and use the email address registered for your account. Once you're signed in, you will see your username at the top of the page. Go to Log In and click on "Forgot Your Password." Enter the registered email address for your account and a password reminder will be sent to that address.
Products Once you are signed into your account, go to Set a Trend. From there, follow the instructions on the page. Does my posting have to be a product? Yes. If you want to talk about movies, check out Flixster. Music? We'd recommend iLike. What if Lush Crush can't pull the image on the product page I'm trying to post? Sometimes, websites use some pretty exotic technologies to show off their wares - see these pants on your body type, on Paris Hilton's body, on Lindsay Lohan's floor, etc. Unfortunately, these file types can't be uploaded to the site - only .jpeg and .gif files work currently. There are two ways to solve this problem. On Step 2 of the Set a Trend process, select "Choose a Different Picture" and see if another image suits your needs. If not, go to the product page, find the image you want, and right-click it. Select "copy image location" and paste that the "image url" field. This should solve the problem. If not, send us a nasty email here, and we will attempt to solve the issue. What if I got the wrong product image? On Step 2 of the Set a Trend process, select "Choose a Different Picture" and see if another image suits your needs. If not, go to the product page and find the image you want and right-click it. Select "copy image location" and paste it in the "image url" field. This should solve the problem. If not, send us a nasty email here, and we will attempt to solve the issue. How do I edit or delete a product once it is posted? If something is wrong, sign into your account. Once you do that, go to the product page for the posting you want to edit and click Edit Product. You can make any changes you want there, or delete the posting entirely. Why is there no product when I click on the buy link to the third party site? Some sites use web addresses that are specific to one person's session on a site, and if someone else clicks that link, the product page is gone. We're aware of the issue, and we're working on it.
Verdicts Why do I need an account to vote on products? You should want a Lush Crush account. It lets you keep track of all your ratings, postings, comments, and other information on Lush Crush, which you should then share with your friends. Yes. All your verdicts can by found on your My Profile page. Check the Verdicts tab and they are all there.
Tags Tags are tags that organize and track everything on the Lush Crush site. These are the trends and labels that you add to a posting so other people can find it. Trends don't fit into nice little buckets like shirt, dress, or a designer. Sometimes there are totally inexplicable, like trucker hats. So, we don't put you into nice, little categories either. You tell us what you think the trends are for a particular product by adding your tags, and other users will add their own to your posting. And then, voila, trends are divined. Why are the tags in different colors and sizes? The colors and sizes for the tags tell you how that deet is doing. If it's pink, people like products with that deet. If it's gray, not so much. The bigger the text, the more people are rating postings with that tag. So, big pink=good, big gray=bad. If you are posting a new product, you can add the tags during step 2 of the Set a Trend process. If it's someone else's posting that you want to add a new deet to, on the product page, you can add tags in the Add Tags box. How do I edit or delete tags from my postings? If you need to remove or change tags associated with your posting, go the Product Page for that posting, and click Edit Product next to the product image. You will be able to edit or remove tags there.
Comments Comments are added on the product page in the comment box. You must be signed in to leave a comment. How do I report abusive comments? If you catch an abusive comment or posting, flag it by clicking the Something's Wrong link and tell us what the issue is. We'll check it out.
Style Circle Your Style Circle is your network of tastemakers that you want to track and see what's in their closet. Your Style Circle let's you see all the latest postings and verdicts from all the people you want to follow. It also helps us generate recommendations and trends that you might want to take a look at. How do I add people to my Style Circle? You can add people to your Style Circle 2 ways. The fastest way to add a lot of members is through your address book. Click on the Invite Friends link and upload your address book from your email provider. From there, you'll be able to see who's already on Lush Crush and add them at once, or invite those friends not already on Lush Crush to sign up. Once they do, they are automatically added to your Style Circle. The second way to add members to your Style Circle is from the profile page. See someone you want to add? Just go to their profile page and click Add to My Style Circle and they will be added. How do I remove people from my Style Circle? We all make mistakes. If you no longer want to track another user, sign into your account, go to My Profile, and click into the Style Circle tab. Find the person you want to remove, click on their name, and on their profile, click the "Remove" link to take them out of your Style Circle.
Linking How do I add the products I'm blogging about to the Lush Crush site? The easiest way is to add it yourself. Sign up for a Lush Crush account, and use Set a Trend to add it directly. I don't want to add products myself. How do I get my readers to do it? Don't have the time to add the product directly and want to outsource the work? Add a "Crush This" submit button to your blog posting. If a reader wants to submit it to Lush Crush, they click that button and do the Set a Trend process for you. Can my readers vote on my postings from my blog? Yes. Once a product has been submitted to Lush Crush, the button changes from a "Crush This" submit button, to become a vote button that your readers can use to cast their own verdicts on your latest finds.
